My name is Beatrix; I am 35 and am an OFSTED registered childminder and a member of the National Childminding Association (NCMA).

My childcare training include certificates in “Introduction to Childminding Practice”, Paediatric First Aid” and “Safeguarding Children”.
I am also currently working towards a “Diploma in Home-based Childcare”

I live in the lovely old market town of Stony Stratford with my Partner Paul and my two daughters Selina, 9 and Alicia, 20 months.

Originally from Germany, love brought me to the UK a decade ago and I got very much stuck over here, enjoying the English way of life.

We moved into our house three years ago. It is situated in a cul-de-sac with plenty of parking and very little traffic, two minutes walk from the High Street.

The area is very nice with kind and friendly neighbours, large green playing fields to the front and side of the house and a playground right outside our garden gate!

I feel that working with children brings so much fun, variety and rewards with no day being quite the same. Our activities change every day with a focus on the great outdoors whenever it is possible.

Children in my care enjoy weekly visits to local play groups, library story times and music & singing groups.

At home, we learn, play, sing, dance, draw & paint, cook & bake, read & listen and once we are tired, we have a little snooze or quiet time to charge up the batteries again.

Food is a great passion of mine. Being a qualified chef, I decided that junk food must not be part of our diet and therefore all children in my care are being offered healthy and nutritious food every day.
Don’t worry however; everyone will receive a little treat now and then and especially when a child has shown very good behaviour.

I encourage every child to comply with the house rules, demonstrate good behaviour, as well as tolerance and respect for one another. I also believe that learning how to share is a very important social skill and will always be encouraged too.

Every child in my house, including my own children will be treated the same. All will be encouraged to play nicely together and share all available resources.
